Because I followed a low-cholesterol, low-rice diet for the past 3 months and started exercising, I managed to lose a total of 6 lbs, from 114 lbs last May to just 108 lbs last August. I’m supposed to go back to my cardiologist this week to know the results of my triglyceride, total cholesterol, and good and bad cholesterol levels. I hope they’re now within normal limits.
While I shed a few pounds in the last 3 months, I noticed I haven’t really lost my “love handles” a.k.a. belly fat. Now, I’m thinking it’s inborn because I've had it ever since I can remember. LOL!
I read somewhere that just eating healthy will help you lose belly fat, but that didn’t work for me. I also checked out some effective ways of losing belly fat
here, but I still haven’t decided what products to try. What about you? Do you have problems with belly fat, too? Have you tried anything that works to eliminate belly fat?
Yesterday afternoon, Justin wanted to eat pasta, and because I haven’t tried Goodles yet, that was where we headed to get our pasta treats. Father and son shared a tub of Garlic Shrimp and Chorizo, and I had Chicken Vodka all for myself.
Garlic Shrimp and Chorizo (A slightly spicy olive-oil based sauce with juicy white shrimps and flavorful Spanish chorizo. Tossed into linguine noodles and topped with Parmesan cheese), Php170.00/$4.00
Chicken Vodka (Farfalle noodles with cubes of chicken, ham and black olives in a mouthwatering vodka-infused cream sauce. Topped with bits of parsley and Parmesan cheese), Php140.00/$3.00I find the price a bit pricy for a small tub of pasta. If you’re not really hungry, an order is actually good for sharing. My husband and my son enjoyed their order of Garlic Shrimp and Chorizo. There was nothing extraordinary, though, with my order of Chicken Vodka. I didn’t even notice there was vodka in it, although I don’t really know how vodka tastes. LOL! The Farfalle noodles (bow-shaped noodles) perked my interest, though.
Goodles is the first pasta-to-go concept shop here in the Philippines. Food is served on an easy-to-hold tub that allows you to eat pasta anywhere. Goodles is located at the 4th floor of Robinsons Galleria near Movieworld.
I’m sure all couples will agree with me that planning a wedding is exciting, but it entails a lot of work, too, from choosing the church and reception venue to planning what food to serve during the reception to finalizing the wedding sponsors to trimming down the list of guests to selecting the wedding favors, not to mention looking for the perfect wedding rings and wedding outfit for the bride and groom. After all, this only happens once in a lifetime, and you both want this to be a truly memorable event. But before the wedding ceremony can commence, you need to hand out wedding invitations to your guests first, right?
Looking for the perfect wedding invitations can be frustrating sometimes, especially if you can’t find the right fit for the theme that you’ve selected for your wedding. You might want to try
save the date cards. They offer stylish wedding invitations in different colors and designs. Their Bee in Love design is simply charming! I’m sure you’ll find a design, too, that you’ll like. Oh, and don’t forget to send thank you cards after the wedding!
My son has a new toy. Nope, it’s not a newly bought toy, but “new” because my son managed to create something new from his old toys. The battery-operated cowboy/horse toy was a gift from one of his godmothers that he received on his first birthday. I still haven’t disposed of it yet because he still likes it.
Two nights ago, while I was still working, Justin found a way to keep himself busy with his cowboy/horse toy and his drum set’s foot pedal. He asked his
yaya (babysitter) to tie the string of the foot pedal around his cowboy/horse toy, so the horse can drag the foot pedal. He made the horse run back and forth while pulling the foot pedal slowly along from place to place. He was having so much fun with his “creation” and even telling the horse these words: “Go horse; you can do it!”

What’s good with kids is they never run out of ideas to keep themselves entertained. When they get bored, they find or “create” new and exciting things to amuse them, just like what my son did. What about you? What ingenuous “creations” have your kids came up with recently?
