This particular summer, 2010, is unforgettable to us for a number of reasons.
First, we now have a nurse in the family. Justin’s older cousin Ate Ayie took her oath last March.
This is also the first time that my side of the family went on an outing. We had an overnight stay at Dona Jovita Garden Resort in Calamba, Laguna last March.
Sadly, this summer is also the time we learned about our mother’s severe heart condition and her need for heart bypass. That was after she underwent coronary angiogram last April 28.
Overall, our summer this year is both happy and sad, but we’re hoping we’ll end this summer on a happy note, that is, that Nanay’s heart bypass operation will be a success. We’re scheduling her surgery very soon.
