My son is an intelligent boy. He noticed that I’ve been working beyond my normal work schedule for a few months now. Before, my work usually ends at 5pm. He knows that because that’s his time to use our laptop. Now, I work until 8pm on most days.
A few days ago after I finished my work (my full-time work, that is) and my writing assignment about
Honda Rancher 420, I sat with my son in front of the TV and he asked me, “Mommy, why do you have to work until late everyday”?
“So we’ll have money to buy the things that we need.”
“Don’t worry, Mommy! The tooth fairy will give you money so you won’t have to work.”
“Wow! Really, baby”?
“Yes!”
In my mind, I was thinking: “How many teeth do I have to lose so the tooth fairy can give us all the money that we need”? Besides, aren’t tooth fairies for kids only?
“Perhaps, you meant the “fairy godmother,” baby, and not the tooth fairy.”
He didn’t seem to hear what I just said, so I see no point in discussing the subject further.
Ipanema presents its Resort Wear Collection for Spring Summer 2011 at the Philippine Fashion Week last Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Function Rooms 2 and 3 of SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia. I got an invite from Cel Mabalot who allowed me to bring my sister along to this event.

The Philippine Fashion Week, which is now on its 13th year, is the most awaited affair among fashionistas. The event showcased Ipanema’s colorful and chic resort sandals together with the creations of four of the country’s top resort wear designers, namely: Anthony Nocom, Ramon Favila, Ricky Abad and Simon Ariel Vasquez.
I have to admit I had a difficult time getting good shots of the models on the catwalk from where I was seated. I even complained to my husband that perhaps it was because of my outdated camera. What do you know; after a few days, he bought me a new one! LOL! Good thing Cel Mabalot sent me nice pictures of the models wearing their stylish Ipanema resort sandals and modish resort wear.

I was happy to see
Michelle at the event, too. And
Earth was kind enough to give us two passes for the Freego show. My sister and I were not able to see it, though, because it was already getting late, and my sister had to drive all the way to Dasmariñas, Cavite from Mall of Asia, so we missed that event.

Ipanema is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by ELRO Commercial & Industrial Corporation. Ipanema is also available in leading boutiques and shoe stores nationwide.
We were invited to Gabbie’s 5th birthday celebration at McDonald’s, Shell Emerald, Pasig Bity yesterday afternoon. Gabbie is Justin’s playmate; they met in our building playground when Gabbie was just turning 3 and Justin was only 2 years old. Since then, we were always invited to Gabbie’s birthday celebration, and we always attended.
Because Justin is already four years old, he now enjoys kiddie parties. He liked participating in the parlor games, but I’m sorry to say that he’s not a gracious loser. He wanted so much to win and take home some prizes, but he lost in the first two games he joined. Fortunately for him, he and his
yaya won the build-the-highest-plastic-cup-tower game.
The guests were served fried chicken and rice, French fries, sundae, and coke. Like most kids, Justin enjoyed the French fries and sundae. He had a unique way of eating his fried chicken, though. He ate only the crispy, crunchy chicken skin. In short, we had to strip all our chicken parts naked so he could eat all the chicken skin he wanted. How I wish I were younger so I could do exactly what my son was doing without the need to find
fat burners that work afterwards. LOL!
Here are some photos taken at yesterday’s celebration
