The title of this blog intrigued me, so I looked for the meaning of the word in the site and learned that “buraot” means “impatient,” so “I Am Buraot” literally means “I am impatient.” If you want to read articles on different topics (politics, environment, religion, philanthrophy, love and relationships, etc.), then you came to the right place.

Because I’m a blogger myself, I became particularly interested in the author’s post “Sec. Cabral, Quit Bullying Bloggers.” Here, he expressed his opinion on the libel complaint filed by DSWD Secretary Esperanza Cabral against Ella, the owner of Blog ni Ella, who accused the department of corruption for not distributing the relief goods neatly stacked in some warehouses owned by DSWD. Umma’s Mom Conversations blog is a good online resource for moms as it provides helpful tips and valuable information on health and fitness, pregnancy, baby, and parenting.

I find her post “Techniques in Treating a Toddler’s Temper and Tantrum” very informative. I learned that kids throw tantrums when they are hungry, tired, uncomfortable, or when they’re simply craving attention. In my son’s case, he usually throws a fit when he’s tired. This usually happens when he didn’t have a good night’s sleep or when he wasn’t able to take his afternoon nap.

This article also offers good suggestions on how to handle kids’ temper tantrums. One thing I find useful is that parents should consider the demands of their kids. If what kids want are not harmful in any way, then parents could give in to their kids’ whims, but if they pose any danger, health or otherwise, then it’s best to keep off-limits things out of the reach and sight of our children.

“The Truth about White Lies” is also a must-read. White lies are generally harmless. They are more a product of an over-active imagination than an intention to deliberately lie about something. Parents can talk to their kids to determine why their kids chose to tell a lie. Parents should also set good examples by not telling lies themselves. Last but not least, parents should be alarmed when they see a serious recurrent pattern of lying in their children because medical help might be needed in this case.

If there’s one gutsy lady in blogosphere, that has to be Kaye. Her blog, Random WAHM Thoughts, chronicles her experiences as a work-at-home-mom and everything else that strikes her fancy.

The first time I landed on Kaye’s blog, I was hooked. I remember she used to change layouts every so often, and it’s one of the things that readers like about her site. She’s always on the lookout for something new, something better. It came as no surprise to me, therefore, that she started doing her own layouts. I think I told her once that she could make good money with her talent, and look at her now! She’s slowly but surely making a name for herself as one of the most sought-after layout artists in blogosphere.

Kaye speaks her mind, too, and she doesn’t mince words; she says what she means. Her posts, which range from shocking to witty to funny to informative, are always a delight to read. That’s why I keep coming back to her blog. Being a work-at-home mom myself, I find her “Initial Thoughts on Working at Home” quite interesting. It tackled both the advantages and disadvantages of working at home, and I can so relate! I also enjoy reading about her daughter Svet. “My Child is an Achiever” is quite a funny post.

Kaye also gave me my very first award, the Power Blog Award in November of 2008, and I’m forever grateful for that. I also benefited from her free post signatures that she gave away last year. Because I was an illiterate blogger when I first met her (I still am!), I used to bombard her with a lot of questions, which she gladly entertained. She made my blogging life easier!
