Can you believe it’s Friday already? This week’s Mommy Moments theme is “Name Game,” the story behind the names of our kids or the meaning of our kids’ names.


After listing down a few boys’ names that I got from my Internet search, my husband and I both agreed that Justin is how we would call our baby boy. The name “Justin” is of Latin origin, which means “just, upright, righteous.” Saint Justin (second century) was a Greek philosopher who wrote of the moral values of Christianity. We like our son to grow up exactly as his name implies. We want him to be morally upright. And to tell the world that he is his daddy’s son, we added “Edward,” (from his father’s name “Eduardo”), so my son’s complete first name is “Justin Edward.”
