Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. This year, Black Friday falls on November 26. The Christmas shopping season in the U.S. officially starts on Black Friday. It is during Black Friday that special door busters are being offered by a lot of stores that open as early as 5am.

Because hordes of shoppers are lined up for hours outside stores, accidents are not uncommon during Black Friday. In 2008, a stampede happened at Wal-Mart in Valley Stream, NY on Black Friday, killing an employee, injuring paramedics who were trying to rescue the victim, and causing a pregnant woman to be hospitalized. So, yes, utmost care should be observed to prevent similar scenarios.

Happy shopping, everyone! Be safe!

2 pensive thought/s:

For my 7 years of living in US,I never even dare shopping on Black Friday! lol!

Nothing could get me into a store on Black Friday.
People go crazy. It is something like out of a zombie movie.
Hope you have safe holidays.
