mommy moments

Why You're the Best Dad
Tatay, you’re the perfect father because you had to swallow your pride and switched roles with Nanay when you lost your office job during our grade school years. You became a stay-at-home dad, doing what mothers are supposed to do for their kids. You cooked for us, washed our clothes, cleaned the house, and supported us in whatever ways you can. You’re not the type of father who spends little to no time with his kids. You’re the exact opposite because you enjoyed being with your children. That made us appreciate you more. Your loving acts more than compensated for your inability to provide for us financially. You love us, and that’s what really matters.

Why Your Grandchildren Love You
You always make yourself available to your grandchildren. Whenever a yaya leaves us, we can always rely on you to look after our son while we work. Nanay would have loved doing that for Justin, too, but the minor stroke that she suffered in 2007 left her physically unable to care for her youngest grandchild. Your calm demeanor and playful nature makes you every kid’s favorite playmate, too. Justin really loves having you around, and I know, in his heart, there's no better lolo for him than you.

Why Nanay is Lucky to Have You in Her Life
You’re there for Nanay all the time. You were by her side when she suffered a minor stroke in 2007, which has weakened her right side. You patiently accompanied her to the doctor for her medical checkups and laboratory tests. You always made sure she drinks her medicines on time and that she never misses any. You did all of these things in the last three years until she was recently diagnosed with coronary artery disease. Your concern for her grew even more when you learned that she could suffer a heart attack anytime if coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) could not be performed soon. You cried silent tears, seeing her in pain but you never lost hope that God can perform a miracle in our lives, and He did by providing financially for Nanay’s heart operation.

We love you, Tatay, for being a good father, a cool grandfather, and a loving husband to Nanay!
