I just received a YM message from Justin’s pediatrician that my son’s stool test showed he is negative for amoebiasis. That’s good news! Tomorrow, I’ll be getting my MRI results, which is long overdue, and I will also be going to my cardiologist and request for an ECG.

As I’ve said in my previous post, the week that my Nanay had to undergo coronary angiogram (the medical procedure to see what percentage of her heart is blocked), I was having odd heartbeats. I wasn’t sure if that was just stress-related. I’m not experiencing them anymore, but I want to make sure that I’m okay.

My last visit to my cardiologist was three years ago where I was found to have a high level of LDL (low-density lipoprotein), otherwise known as bad cholesterol. That was corrected with a month’s intake of medication and lifestyle change. The doctor gave me a cholesterol-lowering diet guide that I religiously followed.

Up to now, I have avoided eating beef (we very seldom serve beef at home now), which means I seldom eat hamburgers, too. I also avoided French fries, which I used to love so much. I guess I realized then that since I just became a mom, I needed to take care of myself for the sake of my son who is totally dependent on me.

So, that’s my agenda for tomorrow: a trip to my neurosurgeon for the interpretation of my MRI results and a visit to my cardiologist for a wellness check. Wish me luck!

Hi Mommy Tetcha!

It's been a while since I visited your blog. Life got in the way....hehe.

I hope the MRI showed nothing serious and that you're in good health. I have been battling some health issues as well but it's all under control now. Nothing very serious. I guess a visit to the doctor's every now and then can be a good thing.

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment in my blog. Sana nga I can enroll sa cosmetology if only to give in to hubby's request...or I can just shave his head, di ba? Hehe...

Mommy J
