I have a friend who suffers from insomnia. I don’t really know if she has tried using sleeping pills or if those worked for her if she did. Stressful situations in life, withdrawal from drug, alcohol or sedatives, and psychological problems are some of the causes of insomnia. Sleeping pills may be helpful for occasional sleepless nights, but it’s not advisable to use them for a long period of time because of their adverse effects. What is really needed is to remove or correct the underlying reasons for insomnia. Consulting with a doctor is still the best option.
